Summer's slip-n-slide

Summer received a slip-n-slide for her birthday. She was reluctant at first to really do more than walk back and forth on it, but eventually got down to business and had herself some fun!!

Our little swimsuit model. WE did not buy her a two piece, a neighbor friend gave it to her because she had outgrown it. Summer, of course, went right for it and its just about impossible to talk into her one piece anymore~

One of my favorites!
A bit too much for me- but a gorgeous, amazing picture none the less.

Summer and River play in the water park

I took the kids to the water park as a treat for being so patient while we spent half the day running around doing random car errands. They were a little nervous as you never knew where the water was going to shoot up from next, but they still enjoyed themselves.

Summer and Mackenzie's "henna" tatoos

So, I got a book, practice sheet, and bag of henna for fun. I haven't actually used it yet as its quite time consuming to do and I wanted to practice some of the designs and come up with some of my own. So, I opted for some of Summer's markers and sparkly gel pens one night and drew all over one of my feet and legs. The next day Summer's friend, Mackenzie came over and the girls talked me into practicing on them. They chose their main decoration and I improvised the rest for them. They were super excited about it and felt very girly! The best part for me is that it washes off in water!!

4th of July: Lupa Zoo excursion

We figured our children wouldn't make it through the late night fireworks for the 4th, so we thought we'd take them on a day excursion. We chose our local Lupa Zoo. We had never been and had heard good things about it. Here, River bangs his chest like a gorilla while Summer takes a ride on the baby. After a few hours at the zoo, we went and had some homemade ice cream at a local ice cream shop! We all really enjoyed our day!!

Summer shows off her new horse while River displays his new "flaming-go!" He is now obsessed with flamingos and gets excited anytime we see them out-- with it being summertime there are flamingos on everything!

We feed a giraffe. River thought it was SO COOL! Summer was much less impressed.
