Off to Wanakena....again

These ducks stuck around for the whole week. They'd come onto the lawn during breakfast and lunch and we'd give them some cracked corn at some point during the day. There was a ton of wildlife around the house-- humming birds, red breasted nuthatches, purple finches, chickadees, red squirrels, chipmunks (one that let me get within 6 inches of it), rabbits, geese and ducks, a turtle, a huge frog, but no deer or bear.

Grandma Sue shows Summer her Kindergarten picture. Funny thing is, she walked into an antique store somewhere up north and looked around and immediately recognized the picture- it was hanging on their wall. So, of course she got it--she also found a little open leaflet thing with a larger picture of her in it with a few of the others from her class. She said the disconcerting thing was that she actually was in an antique shop! Many people makes jokes about ending up in one, but she got the reality.
Happy River
Not so happy River
Summer waits for her marshmallow to "marsh" so she can eat it.
River doens't bother waiting for a marshmallow, he digs right into his coat.
