Our last full day on Long Island- bone fishing

We spent our last full day bone fishing on the flats with a guide. Clayton was flyfishing for them and I had a spinning reel. Now, we aren't great fishers to begin with, especially me. But, bonefish are elusive as all getout and terrified of everything on top of that, oh, and amazing hearers as well. But, our guide, Danny, managed to find a bunch of fish for us, but we weren't able to catch any. However, we're going to try again sometime. We had a spectacular day none the less. Having spent all our time on Long Island in the general vicinity of Chez Pierre, it was great to get out and see more of the island, especially by boat. We saw a sea turtle zoom past us, saw a ray, shark and a few other fish and some amazing scenery between the crystal clear water and the random sandy beaches and cliff coves.

This was a cool looking bird with a super long orange beak. I still need to look up what it is.

Danny and me after a long day.
Danny would wade in the water and keep the boat in position for us to cast to the fish.
