Update on our family

Hello everyone! Not too terribly much new happening on our homefront. Summer had her first full week of school this week and made some new friends that she played with. She was very proud of herself for busting through her shyness to play and talk with new people. She's been big into asking questions lately and wanting more and more information about whatever subject has been brought up. This morning she got her first astronomy lesson as Clayton mentioned the full eclipse of the moon that is supposed to happen tonight. So, she began to ask questions about the moon and then the sun and the earth and on to the planets from there. So, we don't know how much she retained, but she probably knows more about space right now than any 4 1/2 year old.

River is working really hard at getting himself from his back to his belly nowadays. He has almost got down sitting up on his own. He has a few favorite things he enjoys doing everyday- he loves to blow raspberries, he'll go back and forth with you saying "AH!", and he laughs every time you tickle his neck. He's getting better with grasping things in his hands and getting them to his mouth, but he gets easily frustrated if things aren't working out exactly as he wants. Oh, and by the way, this boy has quite the temper! If you attempt to calm him with a pacifier and he doesn't want it, he will hit and hit at your hands and yell until you stop. But, he absolutely loves his sister and she can get him smiling even when he's in his worst moods.

Clayton and I are still loving where we are and had our friend, Rob over for dinner the other night. Pictures will hopefully be coming soon. I've been having problems with getting blogger to work for me lately, so it may take some time to iron out. By the way, I lied about the snow video coming, I decided it wasn't very interesting and you couldn't see anything very well. Take care!
